Comments: I found your books through my daughter-in-law. We started with the Daily Tx bunch and we throughly enjoyed those. Now I can't get enough of your work. I Loved Dandelion Summer and passed it on to a friend at church. I am so glad to have found wonderful stories "cleanly" written that I can share with a clear conscience. Bless you for that.
Guestbook Administrator's Comment: Hello Susan, It's so nice to hear from a new reader and thanks for the lovely words about my books. Dandelion Summer is my mom's very favorite of my books and I loved being able to include my cyberfriend Ed's space career comments in that book. Maybe you realized that the Texas books had similarities to Crawford with the Bush ranch and all the media coming to town. We heard funny stories about all that and I just had to get some of them into those books. I still find myself wondering what Donetta is doing now? ;o)
I get up to the Dallas-Ft.Worth area now and then to speak so if you'd like to meet in person, you might keep an eye on my appearances page.
This is an exciting week with the newest, Blue Moon Bay launching in book stores. I just heard that it got a star review in Booklist,so I'm walking on air!
Blessings, Susan and happy reading!

Comments: I'm excited to find another author with which I "click!" I've read all of Karen Kingsbury's books and all of Francine Rivers. I can't say I enjoyed any of them more than Dandelion Summer. First, I love that it is a love story without being a romance. My husband can always tell when I've found a good book, because I'm always wanting to share parts of it with him. I shared often while reading this book! The letter from Norman to Deborah is one I'm sure I'll refer back to often. I know I want my son to read that letter! He's already a great daddy, but I think this will just remind him of the important things about fatherhood and will encourage him to stay with it. Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your talent for story-telling with me! I look forward to reading other books that you have authored.
Guestbook Administrator's Comment: So sweet of you to write those compliments, Judy. I enjoy Karen Kingsbury and Francine Rivers also. I love the thought that DS is a love story without being a romance and that you felt compelled to share some of it with your husband. I've been so happy to hear from readers who are sharing J.Norm's letter with their children, grandchildren and students. It's a nice thought that my story is out there doing good works!
On another topic, I'm keeping your email address. My brother owns The Branding Iron restaurant in Mena, AR. If you are ever there, stop in and meet Greg or Crystal. I love visiting there and sometimes do a book talk or signing. It would be nice if we could meet sometime. Blessings...

Comments: I completley read the Summer books out of order, however I loved them, I would like to know if you were planning to finish Epiphany's story?
I am plotting to get your newest series and READ them in order... and I cant waite!!!
Guestbook Administrator's Comment: Adriane, Thanks for sending me this message. I LOVE hearing from a new reader. My "series" books can always be read in any order. You'll find some recurring characters and a few references to past events, that interest readers of my previous books, but nothing that makes you lose the story line if you haven't read previous books. You probably didn't even notice some minor characters in the Summer books that were originally from my Tending Roses series. My characters remain in my mind and I feel the urge to write and update about them now and then. It's kind of like having a friend or relative you don't see often. You just want to catch up on their life a little. Epie is in my heart also, and most likely you'll see something about her in a future book.
Blessings and happy reading...

Comments: My sister loaned me Tending Roses and I read it right after I read "The Help". I didn't think I would find another awesome book as much as I liked "The Help" but your book was so real and emotional, I guess it reminded me of some things in my family because I had to grab a tissue every now and then as I read. I LOVED your book and will read another one soon!!!
Guestbook Administrator's Comment: Wow! This makes my day, being right up there with The Help. I love that book and loved the movie also. Thanks so much for the great compliment. Let me hear from you again...
Happy reading!

Comments: I've read all three of your books in the 'Dell' series. I loved reading them and hate for them to end! So good to read clean books where the dialog is authentic. Your little kids talk like little kids I know, etc...love Joshua in this last book. Please keep writing!!
Guestbook Administrator's Comment: Hazel, I'm so glad you loved the Tending Roses series. In a sense, the Dell books haven't ended. Dell comes to visit some friends in the Blue Sky Hills (Summer) books so readers learn more about her adult life, Jace, her friend Shasta, and others from the TR books. I toy with the idea of writing another book about Dell as an adult, but other projects have taken priority in the contracts. Maybe someday...
Thanks so much for signing my guestbook.
Blessings...
Lisa

Comments: Just finished reading Dandelion Summer. Now I do hope you will finish Epiphany's story. This is the first of your books I have read, but I will be looking for others. Just a wonderful, wonderful read. Sooooo glad I found you!
Guestbook Administrator's Comment: Hello Marie,
I'm so happy you discovered me also and that you loved Dandelion Summer. I love hearing from a new reader.
I do have in mind to write more about Epiphany when it will fit into the schedule. I'm contracted ahead for some other novels right now, though. I'm hearing from a lot of readers who have to know what happens to her, so she'll be on my mind. If you liked her, you might start the Tending Roses books and follow Dell through the years...
Also, it's great to see you live in Georgia. I'm trying to work out the details for a signing/appearance at an Atlanta area bookstore or two. I'll let you know by email if that materializes in case Hinesville is in that area.
If you'd like to keep in touch, you could check out my facebook link or my blog link. Love to have you either place, or both.

Comments: A friend introduced me to your books. I'd like to get a copy of all of them, eventually. Really enjoy all that I've read.
Guestbook Administrator's Comment: I'm so glad you dropped by, Dana. Don't you think the best books you find are those recommended by a friend? Word of mouth is my best advertising, for sure.
Waco, huh? I'll be doing a signing at the Waco Mardell store on February 11, from 1 to 2:30. If you can make it, remind me that we met on the guestbook so we can chat a little.

Comments: I really love all of your books, but I think you have outdone yourself with Dandelion Summer. It's such a beautiful story of two people who need each other and don't know it. It also made me think about my dad and some of the sacrifices he made to support us and how I didn't appreciate it like I should have. Thanks for all your books!
Guestbook Administrator's Comment: Kara,
How sweet of you to say such nice things about my books. Dandelion Summer is very special to me. My mom says this is my best book also, but we're very sentimental about Tending Roses, of course.
You're so welcome. I do love writing and I so love hearing from readers who tell me what my books have meant to them. Please keep in touch. If you are not on my FB or or newsletter list, I hope you'll join me one place or the other.

Comments: I just finished reading Dandelion Summer!! It was SUCH a sweet adventure! Loved it so much I gave it a standing ovation all by myself!!! Looking forward to reading more of Lisa Wingate's books! She was a new author for me and I am SO glad I discovered her!!
Guestbook Administrator's Comment: Sheri, I'm so glad you loved Dandelion Summer. I had such fun writing it because I learned so much about my consultant, cyberfriend Ed, whose illustrious space career was described in the book. J. Norman is named after my grandfather and has facets of Grandpa's personality, so I'm quite sentimental about DS.
I'm so glad to have you as a new reader. I love to get reader emails, so please write again as you read more of the books.
